Albendazol 600 - Anthelmintic as bolus

Albendazole is a synthetic anthelmintic which belongs to the group of benzimidazole-derivatives with activity against a broad range of worms (Nematodes, Cestodes, Trematodes) at a higher dosage level also against adult stages of liver fluke. Albendazole works by keeping the worm from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that the worm loses energy and dies. Albendazole is not toxic for animals.
Albendazole is intended for the treatment of different worminfections in cattle, horse, sheep, goat, swine, poultry and fur animals:
- Intestinal worminfections: (Haemonchosis, Bunostomosis, Oezophagostomosis, Nematodirosis, Ostertagiosis, cooperiosis, Strongiloidosis, trichostrongilosis, Hiostrongilosi, Paraaskaridosis, Trichocephalosis, Toxocarosis, Ascaridosis, Uncinariosis, heteracidosis- Lung worminfections: (Dictiocaulosis, Protostrongilosis, Miuleriosis, Noestrongilosis, Cistocaulosis, metastrongilosis).
- Cestodose (Monieziozis, Avitalinozis, Thisanieziosis)
- Trematodes (Fasciolosis, Dicroceliosis, Paramphistomatosis).
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE AND DOSAGE:
For oral administration.
Cattle - 1 bolus per 100 kg body weight
Swine – 1bolus per 30 kg body waight
horse – 1bolus per 50 kg body waight
Poultry – 1 bolus per 20 kg dayly for 2 days.
in case of Fasciolosis dosage should be doubled.
No undesirable effects are to be expected.
It is not adviced to use the preparation in case of: acute Fasciolosi, first stage of pregnancy, infections.
for meat: 7-14 days.
For milk and for egg: 4 days.
