Description:
Yellowish, oblong bolus, with a convex surface on both sides, without a shell, with a dividing mark on one side, with the manufacturer’s logo on the other side. The dimensions of the bolus are: 22 x 12 x 6 (mm).

Pharmacological action:
Oxyclozanide belongs to the salicylamide group and is effective against mature forms of trematodes. Oxyclozanide has a pronounced anthelmintic activity against Fasciola spp., Paramphistomum spp. and Dicrocoelium lanceatum. The mechanism of action is based on the regulation of oxidative phosphorylation. The drug reduces the activity of furamateride reductase and succinate dehydrogenase in helminths, which ultimately leads to paralysis and death of the parasite.
When taken orally, oxyclozanide is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and quickly reaches the organs. The maximum concentration in the blood serum is observed after 2-3 hours. Therapeutic concentration is maintained for 24 hours. The main part is excreted in the urine, a small amount with feces. The drug does not affect the fertility of the animal, does not have a local irritant and mass-sensitizing effect.
Indications:
"Oxyclozanide 500" is used for deworming cattle, sheep, goats in case of cestodes, paramphistomatosis, fasciolosis and dicroceliosis.
Method of administration and dosage:
The drug is administered to the target species without prior diet, orally, individually, once.
Cattle, sheep, goats - in case of cestodes - 1 bolus per 50 kg of live weight. In case of paramphistomatosis, fasciolosis and dicroceliosis - 1 bolus per 35 kg of live weight.
Repeated treatment is allowed after two weeks.
Side effects:
Side effects and complications are not observed when using “Oxyclozanide 500” according to the instructions.
In case of overdose, hypersalivation, frequent urination or diarrhea are expected. These symptoms usually disappear within 2-3 days.
Contraindications:
The drug is not used in combination with other anthelmintics.
In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the active components of the drug and/or allergic reactions, its use is discontinued.
In case of impaired liver function.
The use of “Oxyclozanide 500” is not advisable in the last two weeks before breeding.
Withdrawal period:
Meat - 14 days
Milk - 24 hours
