Pharmacological properties:
ATC Veterinary Classification Code QJ51RV01 - Antimicrobials and Corticosteroids.
Complex antimicrobial drug with high antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, also has anti-inflammatory action.
Enrofloxacin belongs to the fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics, has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity. It is active against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium perfringes, Bordetella bronchiceptica. Campylobacter spp., Corynebacterium pyogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Mycoplasma spp.. The mechanism of action of enrofloxacin is to inhibit the enzyme gyrase, which affects the replication of the DNA helix in the nucleus of the bacterial cell.
Neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic that belongs to the neomycin subgroup of the group of natural aminoglycosides produced by actinomycetes. Neomycin sulfate is active against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including microorganisms resistant to other antibiotics (penicillin, levomycetin, tetracycline). The mechanism of action of neomycin sulfate is related to the irreversible inhibition of protein synthesis at the level of ribosomes in microorganisms sensitive to it.
Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid, a dehydrated analogue of hydrocortisone. It has anti-inflammatory, desensitizing and anti-allergic effects, as well as anti-shock and anti-toxic properties. By stimulating steroid receptors, it causes the production of a special class of proteins - lipocortins, which have an anti-edema effect, as well as reduce the activity of hyaluronidase and thus contribute to the reduction of capillary permeability.
