Therapeutic indications
It is effective simultaneously against ticks, fleas and gastrointestinal nematodes. If there is no risk of mixed invasion, it is advisable to choose an antiparasitic agent with a narrower spectrum of action.
The drug is used:
• For the treatment of tick infestations;
• For the treatment of flea infestations;
• For the treatment of gastrointestinal nematode infestations;
• For the treatment of angiostrongylosis caused by Angiostrongylus vasorum;
• For the prevention of infection caused by Dirofilaria immitis.
Mechanism of action
Sarolaner is an insecticidal and acaricidal substance of the isoxazoline group. It acts on the nervous system of parasites and causes their neuromuscular dysfunction and death.
Moxidectin is a macrocyclic lactone and acts on the neuromuscular system of nematodes.
Pyrantel embonate is an anthelmintic substance of the tetrahydropyrimidine group and is active against gastrointestinal nematodes.
Important application principle
The preparation is particularly intended for cases where the dog simultaneously has or is at risk of mixed parasitic infestation.
If there is no risk of mixed infestation, it is advisable to choose an antiparasitic agent with a narrower spectrum of action.
Contraindications
Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or excipients.
