Composition:

Each 1 g contains:

Doxycycline hiclate............................................................................................................... 200 mg.

Description:

Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group of antibiotics. It has bacteriostatic action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as Bordetella, Campylobacter, intestinal sticks, hemoglobinophilic bacteria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. Doxycycline also acts against chlamydia, mycoplasmas, and rickettsiae. The mechanism of action is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. It is especially effective in respiratory infections.

Indication:

The drug acts on digestive and respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible microorganisms to doxycycline. It acts against microorganisms such as Campylobacter, E.coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Clostridia, Salmonella, Rickettsia, staphylococcus and streptococcus.

Administration route and dosage:

For oral use with drinking water.
Calf, sheep, goat: .................................................................... 5 ml.  on 200 kg. for 3-5 days.
Poultry, pigs: ..................................1 liter. in 2000-4000liter  drinking water for 3-5 days.

Contra-indication:

Increased sensitivity to tetracycline, renal insufficiency, contraindicated with quinolines, cephalosporins, and cycloserines.

Withdrawal period: 

For meat:

Calf, sheep, goat: 14 days.

Pigs: 8 days.

Bird: 7 days.
