Avian Encephalomyelitis-Fowl Pox Vaccine, Live Virus
Description:
Poximune AE contains live fowl pox virus vaccine and ive avian encephalomyelitis virus vaccine for the vaccination of chickens as an aid in the prevention of fowl pox and avian encephalomyelitis.
Indication:
Administer by wing web to healthy, susceptible chickens at least eight weeks of age but at least four weeks prior to the start of egg production as an aid in the prevention of fowl pox due to fowl pox virus and avian encephalomyelitis due to avian encephalomyelitis virus.
Dosage:
Remove seal and stopper from vaccine vial and diluent vial. Pout entire contents of diluent vial into vaccine vial, insert stopper, and shake well. The vaccine is ready for use and should beb used within one hour. Hold each individual bird and spread the wing with the underside facing up. Dip the two-pronged wing web applicator into the vaccine so that the grooves fill with liquid and deliver 0.01 ml per bird. Insert the double-pronged applicator into the web portion of the wing avoiding blood vessels, muscle, and bone. Seven to ten days after vaccination, observe several chickens for evidence of “takes” that include swelling and/or scab formation at the site of injection.
Storage conditions:
Keep the vaccine at 35-450F (2-70C). Do not vaccinate for 21 days before slaughter.
