an anthelmintic agent.

Pharmacological action:
Oxfendazole is a derivative of benzimidazole carbamate, characterized by a wide spectrum of activity. Like other benzimidazoles, oxfendazole is characterized by inhibition of the energy metabolism of parasites by blocking the action of the enzyme fumarate reductase. Blocking of adenosine triphosphoric acid hydrolyzation leads to interruption of energy supply, which in turn causes death of helminths and expulsion from the body.
Oxyclozanide is an anthelmintic agent of the salicylamide group, effective against immature and adult parasitic forms. The mechanism of action of oxyclozanide is based on the disruption of the oxidative phosphorylation cycle and reduction of the ATP level. Therefore, metabolic processes are disturbed in the cells of helminths, which ultimately leads to their death.
Pharmacokinetics:
When taking the drug orally, oxfendazole reaches its maximum concentration in the blood plasma in 6 hours, and oxyclozanide in 24 hours. Active substances and their metabolites are excreted from the body with urine and feces.
