Antibiotic powder for oral administration

Composition:

Each 1 g contains:

Doxycycline hiclate ......................................................................................................... 500 mg.

Description:

Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group of antibiotics. It has bacteriostatic action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as Bordetella, Campylobacter, intestinal sticks, hemoglobinophilic bacteria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. Doxycycline also acts against chlamydia, mycoplasmas, and rickettsiae. The mechanism of action is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. It is especially effective in respiratory infections.

Indication:

The drug acts on digestive and respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible microorganisms to doxycycline. It acts against microorganisms such as Campylobacter, E.coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Clostridia, Salmonella, Rickettsia, staphylococcus and streptococcus.

Administration route and dosage:

Along with drinking water for oral use.

Calf, sheep and goat:...........................................................1 gr. 100 kg.  2 times a day for 3-5 days.

Poultry and pigs: ..............................................100 gr. 500-1000 liters drinking water within 3-5 days.

Contra-indication:

Increased sensitivity to tetracycline, renal insufficiency, contraindicated with quinolines, cephalosporins, and cycloserines.

Withdrawal period: 

For meat:

Calf, sheep, goat-14 days.

Pigs - 8 days.

Bird-7 days.
