Pharmacological action:
The drug “Lega” (“LEGA”) belongs to the group of drugs with insecticidal and acaricidal action. It has a pronounced insecto-acaricidal effect on dogs against fleas (Ctenocephalus spp.), parasitic mites (Dermacentor spp., Rhipicephalus spp., Ixodes spp.) and lice in all stages of development, and also has a repellent effect on blood-sucking mosquitoes.
Pharmacokinetics:
The active substance of the drug, fipronil (C12H4Cl2F6N4OS) - [5-amino-1-[2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethylphenyl]-4-(trifluoromethylsulfinyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carbonitrile, is a broad-spectrum insecticide. It disrupts the nervous system of ectoparasites without affecting the central nervous system of the animal, blocking the ion channels of GABAA receptors and chloride (GluCl) channels. As a result, nervous excitation and death of ectoparasites occur.
The active substance (fipronil) included in the preparation "Lega" has a contact effect and is practically not absorbed through the skin. It accumulates in the epidermis and skin follicles, and is gradually released over a certain period of time. The so-called "reservoir" is formed Effect, which ensures long-term insecto-acaricidal action of the drug.
Indications:
The drug "Lega" is used in dogs for the treatment and prevention of lesions caused by fleas, lice, ixodid ticks, mosquitoes and fur-eating insects.
Directions for use and dosage:
The drug is applied to the neck (in the first molar region) on the side of the head, on the back between the shoulders (between the withers) and on the loin, so that it does not lick. Pull the fur cover along the animal's spine and apply the drug directly to the skin in the following doses:

Contraindications:

In puppies up to 10 days old and weighing less than 2 kg;

Restrictions on use:
The drug is not used in combination with other insecticides. It is not recommended for weakened, sick animals.

Animals should be treated with the drug "Lega" with rubber gloves. People with allergic, respiratory and skin diseases should not be allowed to work with the drug. In case of accidental contact with the drug on the skin, immediately wash it off with warm water and soap. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with running water. In case of allergic reactions and/or accidental contact with the drug in the human body, immediately seek medical attention. After finishing work, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap, rinse your mouth with water.
Do not pet the animal for 24 hours after treatment with the drug "Lega" and do not allow it to approach children.
Do not use after the expiration date.
