Pharmacological action:
“Fenbendazole 500” is an anthelmintic drug of the benzimidazole group. Fenbendazole (methyl[5-phenylthio)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl]-carbamate) is characterized by a wide spectrum of nematocidal and cestodicidal activity, is active against adult forms, larvae and eggs of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes, as well as cestodes.
Fenbendazole causes disruption of carbohydrate metabolism and microtubular function of helminths, and disruption of energy processes leads to the death of parasites.
Pharmacokinetics:
When administered orally, fenbendazole is easily absorbed from the intestines and distributed in the organs and tissues of the animal; It is excreted from the body in unchanged form and as metabolites, mainly with bile and partly with urine, as well as with milk in lactating animals.
Indications:
Used for deworming of farm animals and poultry in the following diseases: gastrointestinal helminthiasis (hemonchosis, bunostomiasis, esophagostomiasis, nematodirosis, ostertagiosis, cabertiosis, cooperiosis, strongyloidiasis, trichostrongylosis, hyostrogillosis, paraascariasis, trichocephalosis, toxocariasis, toxocariasis, uncinariasis, ascariasis, heteroacidosis), pulmonary helminthiasis (dictyocaulosis, protostrongylosis, mulleriosis, neostrongyliosis, cystocaulosis, metastrongylosis), cestodes (moniesiosis, avitellineosis, thysaniesiosis), trematodes (fasciolosis, Dicroceliosis, paramphistomatosis).
Directions and dosage:
Cattle, sheep, goats - 1 bolus per 60 kg of live weight. In case of fasciolosis, dicroceliosis, paramphistomatosis - 1 bolus per 35 kg of live weight.
Horse, donkey, mule - 1 bolus per 50 kg of live weight
Pig - 1 bolus per 80 kg of live weight
Dog, cat - 1 bolus per 10 kg of live weight, once a day for two days
Domestic poultry - 1 bolus per 15 kg of live weight, once a day for two days
Before starting mass treatment, the drug is pre-tested in small groups of animals of each species. In case of complications, the use of the drug should be discontinued for this species.
Side effects:
Side effects and complications are not observed when using “Fenbendazole 500” according to the instructions.
Symptoms of overdose in animals have not been detected.
Contraindications:
The drug is not used in weakened, weakened animals. In acute fasciolosis, in the first third of pregnancy in cattle, in the first half of pregnancy in pigs and sheep.
In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the active components of the drug and/or the appearance of allergic reactions, its use is discontinued.

Milk - 3 days
Eggs - 4 days
