Magnesium ............................................................................................. 2.5 mg.

Description:

Calcimin Oral is a mixture of calcium, vitamin D3 and magnesium, which is easily absorbed by the intestines of the animals. These three components of Calcimin Oral are all important for strong bone formation, egg shell quality and contributes to maintain an optimum calcium balance. The main function of vitamin D is in the control of calcium homeostasis, but vitamin D is also involved in the immune system. Without sufficient amounts of vitamin D3, the body cannot form calcitriol. This vitamin D metabolite is responsible for the production of calcium-binding protein and is subsequently necessary for the absorption of calcium. Thus, vitamin D3 deficiency can lead to insufficient calcium absorption from the diet. The body starts reabsorption of calcium from the skeleton when calcium absorption from the diet is insufficient.
