Intramuscular suspension for cows

Composition:

Each 4.5 ml. (3.6 g) syringe contains:

Cloxacycline ..................................... 600 mg. (765.4 mg cloxacillin benzathine)

Indications:

It is recommended for cows in the period of interrupted lactation for the treatment of infection of the mammary gland, including subclinical mastitis, and to provide long-term protection against new infections during the period of interrupted lactation. Effective against mastitis-causing Gram-positive organisms, including: Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, penicillin-resistant and sensitive staphylococci, Arcanobacterium pyogenes. Cloxacin has a bactericidal effect and is not inactivated by staphylococcal beta-lactamase. Thus, it is active against penicillin-resistant staphylococci, which are an important cause of mastitis.

Dosage and method of administration:

For internal use only. One syringe should be injected into a quarter of the milk immediately after cleaning and disinfecting the mammary glands, after the last expression of milk, before drying.

Waiting period:

Not intended for lactating cows of 42 days or less. Milk intended for human consumption can be obtained only after 96 hours. If parturition occurs less than 42 days after the last treatment, human milk can be obtained from the 42nd day + 96 hours after the last treatment. Cattle not allowed for human consumption may be slaughtered only 28 days after the last treatment.

Packaging:

Low density polyethylene syringes. which contains 4.5 ml. (3.6 g) product.

Storage conditions:

Keep out of reach of children. Do not store at temperatures above 25 C. Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the label.
