Injection solution for cattle, sheep and pigs
Composition:
Each ml. contains:
Active ingredient:
Oxytetracycline (as oxytetracycline dihydrate) .............. 300 mg.
Excipient:
Sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate ...................................... 4 mg.
Indications:
Used for the treatment of conditions caused by or associated with microorganisms susceptible to oxytetracycline, including: Bordetella Bronchiseptica, Actinomyces Pyogenes, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Pastaurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Certain Mycroplasma, Rickettsiae, protozoa, chlamydia.
Target animal species:
Cattle, sheep and pigs.
Dosage and administration:
Deep intramuscular injection. For the treatment of prolonged respiratory infections, tetracycline can be administered at a standard dose of 20 mg oxytetracycline/kg body weight for 3-4 days or at a high dose of 30 mg oxytetracycline/kg body weight (activity is maintained for 5-6 days).
Cattle, sheep and pigs:
Standard dose: 20 mg oxytetracycline/kg body weight (1 ml of product/15 kg body weight).
High dose: 30 mg oxytetracycline/kg body weight (1 ml of product/10 kg body weight).
Maximum recommended dose per injection site:
Cattle - 15 ml
Pigs - 10 ml
Sheep - 5 ml
Piglets (according to the age of the piglet, calculated in days)
1st day: 0.2 ml
7th day: 0.3 ml
14th day: 0.4 ml
21st day: 0.5 ml
Over 21 days of age: 1 ml/10 kg.
Withdrawal period:
Meat and offal:
At a dose of 20 mg/kg body weight:
Cattle and sheep: 28 days.
Pigs: 14 days.
At a dose of 30 mg/kg body weight:
Cattle: 35 days.
Pigs and sheep: 28 days.
It is not allowed to slaughter animals during their treatment and to use meat products in human nutrition.
Milk:
Cattle: 10 days
Sheep: 8 days
It is not allowed to use milk products from animals under treatment in human nutrition.
Packaging:
100 ml. and 250 ml. Type I brown glass vials, closed with a bromobutyl rubber stopper and an aluminum flip-off cap.
Storage conditions:
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not store above 25°C.
Store vials in the outer packaging. Protect from light.
Do not use the veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the label.
Shelf life:
28 days after first opening the immediate packaging.
