Composition:
1 ml of the product contains:
Active substance: Tilmicosin – 300 mg

Pharmacological properties:
Tilmicosin is a broad-spectrum semi-synthetic bactericidal macrolide antibiotic. It is particularly effective against microorganisms of the species Mycoplasma spp., Haemophilus spp., Corynebacterium spp.
Tilmicosin acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit.

After oral administration, tilmicosin is mainly excreted with bile in the feces; a small amount is excreted in the urine.

 

Indications:
“Microtil 300” oral solution is used for the treatment of infectious respiratory diseases caused by tilmicosin-sensitive microorganisms (Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Actinomyces pyogenes, Mannheimia haemolytica) in calves, pigs, chickens, and turkeys.

 

Dosage and administration:
“Microtil 300” is administered orally to target species with drinking water.

  • Calves: 1 ml per 20–30 kg of live body weight with drinking water, twice daily for 3–5 days.

  • Pigs: 800 ml of the product dissolved in 1000 liters of drinking water; treatment duration – 5 days.

  • Chickens, turkeys: 300 ml of the product dissolved in 1000 liters of drinking water; treatment duration – 3 days.

A fresh aqueous solution must be prepared daily. Use of a solution prepared the previous day is not allowed.

 

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity or resistance to tilmicosin.

“Microtil 300” must not be used concurrently with other macrolides or lincosamides.
Not for use in laying hens.
Use during pregnancy and lactation only after a risk/benefit assessment by a veterinarian.

 

Side effects:
In some cases, reduced water consumption may be observed.

Withdrawal period:

Meat: 40 days (calves)

         12 days (pigs)

         10 days (chickens)

         18 days (turkeys)

 

Storage conditions:
Store in a dry place protected from light, out of reach of children, at room temperature.

 

Presentation:
1000 ml oral solution in a white high-density polyethylene bottle.
