Pharmacological action
Florfenicol is a synthetic bacteriostatic antibiotic of the thiamphenicol group. Florfenicol binds to the ribosomal subunits of sensitive bacteria and inhibits protein synthesis. Inhibits peptidyl metabolism and thus prevents the incorporation of amino acids into the peptide chain.
Florfenicol is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into all organs and tissues. It is excreted from the body mainly with urine and partly with feces, both unchanged and in the form of metabolites.
Florfenicol is characterized by a broad spectrum of activity and is effective against Bacillus sp., Corynebacterium sp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Streptococcus sp., Flavobacter sp., Cytophaga sp., Vibrio sp., Flexibacter sp., Pseudomonas sp., Aeromonas sp., Actinobacilus sp., Bordetella sp., Francisella tularensis, Haemophilus sp., Pasteurella multocida, Yersinia sp., Campilobacter fetus, Borrrlia sp., Ve Leptospira sp., Actinomices sp., Fusobacterium sp., Mycoplasma sp., Chlamydia sp., Escherichia sp., Cooxiella burnetti, Anaplasmas microorganisms.
Indications
The drug is intended for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to florfenicol in pigs and poultry.
Directions for use and dosage
“Daflor” is administered orally to the target species with drinking water
Pigs - 1 g of the drug is dissolved in 5 l of drinking water, treatment duration is 3 days;
Poultry - 1 g of the drug is dissolved in 5 l of drinking water, treatment duration is 5 days;
A fresh aqueous solution of the drug should be prepared every day.
The drug is not used in laying birds and pregnant animals
Contraindications
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to florfenicol, impaired renal and hepatic function.
Do not use during pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects
In some cases or in case of violation of the dosage regimen, allergic reactions may occur.
Withdrawal period:
Meat - 6 days
Storage conditions
Store at room temperature. In a dry, dark place, out of reach of children.
Release form
1000 g of oral powder placed in a white polyethylene container closed with aluminum foil and a white polyethylene cap.
